the artist
This show is a visual expression of the artist's reaction to what Carl Jung termed "the collective unconscious". In his exploration of the collective unconscious, Jung created a "psychological framework" of the human mind in which he recognised what he termed the "archetypes". Jung's archetypes were an idealized model of an aspect of a persons personality, for instance "the child" was an accumulation of every persons childhood experiences.
In Jung's psychological framework he viewed the archetypes as innate, elemental psychological organs which exist parallel to our physical ones, which arose during our evolution into animals with higher brain functions.
