An Exhibiton of Drawing

Much of my work in the past has circled imagery related to the car. My work stems from an integration of my surrounding landscape using the car as my looking glass. I have always been drawn to the duality associated with this machine. It can be a place of refuge but also a tool to criminality. It is a symbol of freedom while simultaneously of oppression. Ofprosperity and gluttony. Ubiquitous yet individual.

After the theft of my own car, we formed a search party in order to recover the car. After driving many miles around the city and county we eventually recovered the car but with many items removed from it. Some items were of monetary value but most were worthless and were of only personal value. It is these items that intrigue me. I feel compelled to find out their story, their journey and destination. This series of work is an interrogation of my surroundings using my car in order to locate these objects stories.
